On this relaxing tour, you will paddle across the short passage of the Broadwater to the beautiful white sandy beaches of South Stradbroke Island visiting two (2) other islands along the way!
We invite you to join us on this wonderful island hopping adventure of sea kayaking, snorkelling, bushwalking, dolphin searching, wallaby spotting and kayak sailing! We also regularly see
sting-rays, sea-eagles and brahminy kites! The perfect nature lover's tour!
Your journey begins after a comprehensive safety briefing, held on the beach by your guide for the day. As you start paddling across the Broadwater, your first stop will be
on Wavebreak Islandfor an amazing snorkelling experience amongst an abundance
of sub-tropical fish (literally hundreds!!) Try hand fish feeding and be amazed at how curious
these fish really are or just relax on the beach!
You will then leisurely explore the popular Broadwater by either paddle power (tide assisted of course!) or kayak sail (based on favourable winds!) before arriving on South Stradbroke Island for your second stop where you will go
on a brief walk across the island to marvel at the vast sand dunes and deserted surf beaches! Be fascinated by this amazing sand island which has
three (3) different types of forests growing on it! Don't be surprised if you are visited by the localwallabies along the way!
After a scrumptious picnic (morning or afternoon tea of cakes, pastries, breads and fresh tropical fruit) held on a secluded beach and
served with a selection of cold drinks, you will head back to the mainland, passing Crab Island, the third island, where the local sting-rays hang
out! Upon return, your courtesy vehicle will take you back to your accommodation.
Anything you wear in the kayak will get wet. We recommend you change into your swimwear before leaving your accommodation. We do carry dry bags to keep cameras & other non-waterproof items secure & dry during our paddle. We request you wear at least a t-shirt / rash shirt over your swimwear during your paddle.
